Every pick here is a browser companion to a full scheduling service. Each one needs an account with that service. The extension is the quick way in. The account is where your queue, calendar and connected profiles live.
| Extension | Best for | Stand-out feature |
|---|---|---|
| Buffer | Solo creators and small teams | Create Post for your queue, Save Idea for later |
| Zoho Social | Existing Zoho Social users | zShare is included on all Zoho Social plans, including the free edition |
| Social Champ | Trying a scheduler on a free plan | Shares or schedules text, links, images and videos from any site |
| Sendible | Teams that curate content together | Save or share to a team Content Library |
| SocialBu | Teams managing client accounts | Per-platform post text and account targeting |
For most people, Buffer is the best place to start. Its extension sends a page, highlighted text or an image to your Buffer composer with Create Post, or stores it with Save Idea. Posts go to the channels connected in your Buffer account. Buffer says the extension also works in Safari, Opera and Edge.
If you already pay for another platform, use that platform’s extension instead, so your queue stays in one place.
Install the extension for the scheduling service you use and sign in to your account. Open the page you want to share and click the toolbar icon. Pick your accounts, edit the text, then schedule, publish now or queue the post. SocialBu also opens its composer from the right-click menu.
Among these picks, Sendible and Social Champ publish the longest network lists, and both lists are for the whole product, not only the extension. Sendible lists Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Threads and Bluesky. Check each vendor’s current list and which networks your plan includes.
SocialBu gives agencies the most control per post. You can select specific team or client accounts and write different text for each platform before scheduling, publishing, drafting or queueing. Sendible is another option, since several people can curate into one Content Library.
You need an account with the matching service for every extension on this list. The extension only sends posts to the queue and accounts you have connected there. Zoho Social states that zShare is included on all plans, including its free edition.
